ANR2008 INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL GRANTS
for Asian Participants
Sponsored and Funded by Asian Children’s Care League (ACCL)
Asian Children’s Care League (ACCL), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children with cancer in Asia, will award international travel grants to support attendance to ANR2008

Preference will be given according to the criteria listed in the guidelines below.

Those who wish to apply for this grant should send their application form along with the necessary documents.
Grant guidelines:
Grant to support attendance to the 13th International Conference of Advances in Neuroblastoma Research 2008 (hereafter, ANR2008) which to be held in Makurahi Messe, Chiba, Japan, May 21-24, 2008 is awarded.
Applications from medical professionals and researchers who are active in pediatric oncology and are under 40 years of age in economically less privileged countries in Asia (DAC/ADB status) with insufficient resources to participate will be considered.
Each grant will cover the parts of expenses (travel, hotel or registration fee) for the participant to attend ANR2008.
Selection will be based on the medical merit of the submitted application together with the research and/or practice potential of the applicant as judged by his/her letter of support and curriculum vitae.
Preference will be given to junior level faculty who has not previously visited Japan.
Applicant’s registration must first be accepted by ANR2008 registration to be considered for a grant.

Note: Applicants must attach following documents:
1. A letter of support from your academic department chairman　indicating your academic status, research potential and that funds are not available locally to support travel to the Meeting.
2. A current copy of your curriculum vitae.

The deadline for the receipt of grant application is
January 20, 2008.
No applications are accepted after this date.
After the deadline of submission, grant recipients are selected by the ACCL Grant
Committee and will be notified by February 10, 2008 by e-mail.
together with settlement procedure.
*NOTE: On the last day of ANR2008 (May 24, 2008), there will be an International Open Symposium on Survivorship focusing on “Care and Cure for All Children and Survivors of Childhood Cancer around the World : Circumstances in Developing Countries and　Survivors’ Activities in Various Countries”.
